UBarcelona (Fall / Spring)

  • Students will complete projects for local companies in Barcelona.
  • + Assignments coming from the Global Internship Experience course.

UCape Town (SPRING)

  • As UM’s only semester-long study abroad program in Africa, UCape Town offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in South African culture through integrating the university student experience with organized field trips throughout South Africa. Students can also opt for a for-credit internship and gain practical experience in the field of Global Health in South Africa.
  • UCape Town is supported through an academic partnership with CIEE.
  • Outside of the classroom, students can enjoy all that Cape Town has to offer. This vibrant city includes a picturesque natural landmarks such as Table Mountain and Cape Point and as a hub for immigrants and expatriates, it’s also one of the most multicultural cities in the world.

UMadrid (Spring)

  • Internship at host organization for 12 weeks, 20 hours per week (240 hours total).
  • Work likely during standard business hours, Monday-Friday.
  • Placement may include in-person, remote, and hybrid work.
  • Fields: Business Management, Communication, Data Management, Design, Education, Health & Social Services, Hospitality, Human Resources, International Relations, Marketing, Sales, Sustainability, Tourism.

ULatin America (Fall / Spring)

  • Options: Internship, Service-Learning, or Independent Research.
  • 100-120 hours of field-based work + 15 seminar hours for three credits.
  • Additional materials required post-acceptance.

  • International internship course with live cultural discussions and self-directed content (22 contact hours).
  • Minimum of 120 hours at the internship placement.
  • Credits: 3 credits for 120 placement hours + course.

John Cabot University (FALL/SPRING)

  • At John Cabot University (JCU), students experience the best of both worlds, an American liberal arts college with the history and cultural heritage of Rome. This program is open to all majors and Italian language proficiency is not required.
  • Through UM’s Partner Programs, UM students can study for a semester or academic year at one of our partner universities overseas. UM Partner Programs are more like a traditional exchange, where UM students study at our partner universities and in turn, those institutions send their students to study abroad at UM. This presents a unique opportunity for UM students to meet people from the institutions they are interested in attending before they even go abroad! UM study abroad students will receive letter grades and UM credits that will be a part of their UM GPA, appear on their transcript, and count toward their degree progress.

  • Study + Internship with three program options: USS Hybrid, EUSA Hybrid, UPO Hybrid.
  • 3-credit International Internship Course + 1-4 CEA Electives and 0-2 Elective Courses.
  • Course includes weekly face-to-face coaching, self-directed content, activities, and assignments (30-40 hours total).
  • Minimum of 120 internship hours required.

UTokyo (SPRING)

  • UTokyo provides you with the opportunity to study abroad in the modern capital and dynamic metropolitan city of Japan that seamlessly blends technology, innovation, and contemporary trends with Japanese tradition.
  • Temple University Japan (TUJ), Temple University Japan is a distinguished institution with a diverse student body, giving you the chance to experience student life on the campus of a renowned university while living in Tokyo for the semester.
    You may choose from a broad range of courses, from major, minor to cognate type courses as well as several focusing on Asia. You will study alongside bilingual Japanese students, international students and students studyign abroad at TUJ from all over the world, and with TUJ's international students from over 70 countries around the world.
